As deposits start to come in for the 2012 golf day 3 of the hole sponsors have been confirmed.

We are delighted to be supported by Abacus Associates, Ingram Hawkins & Nock Ltd and Scottish Life for 2012. It is the support of these companies which enables us to put the day on, so we owe the day to every company who supports us.
Also we are pleased to confirm our media partners, who have offered their time and skills to cover the day and give us photos and video on site.
This year we will be updating the website with photos during the day and we will also be selling the team photos during the day. We are also aiming to show a short video of the day in the evening presentation, so don't be shy, find the cameras.

We have joining us on the day Mike Davis photography, C Johnson photography, Funky Monkey photography, FJH photography and Bit4bit.co.uk videography with the brilliant Keith. Thank you so much for donating your time to the day and making it just that little bit extra special.

The second annual Adam Millichip Memorial Golf Challenge kicked off in the very early hours of Friday 6th May 2011 to a beautiful sunny day. Excitement was in the air at Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club well before the first team came up to the tee, at a sleepy 7:33 am, and continued throughout the day as everyone guessed and joked at the possible 2011 champions.
With mini competitions all over the course, such as 'Beat the club champion", 'Nearest the barrel' and target golf, the two main trophies were not the only things on offer at this annual charity day.
The first Memorial Day took place in 2010, in memory of Adam Millichip, who was involved in a heartbreaking accident in 2007 and was a massive triumph .The day raised an astounding £7000 for two local charities. The event organisers estimate raising a mind blowing £8000 from this year`s day. Over 50 teams of 4 entered the race for the cups and prizes, which included a weekend away golfing in Ireland for the Irish Open. The 1st prize was won by Gary Mann, Wayne Smith, Sam Pain & Mikey Jacks while the family prize was won by Garry & Matthew Hawes.
It wasn't all serious play though, with a huge interest in the Best dressed award, which was won by Richard James. There was also a comedy moment when Jamie Griffiths picked up the 'Tool of the day' award for hitting himself in the face with the ball when playing out of a bunker.
Sue Millichip, Adam`s Mum said:
With the golf itself finishing at about 6pm there was only a short break before the evening celebrations began with trustees Mark Benbow and Mark Fish commencing with a raffle and Michael Thomas entertaining the crowd with the auction followed by band Rebooted. A good night was had by all. Raffle prizes included holiday accommodation in Cyprus, 4 ball vouchers at local golf clubs, gift vouchers at local businesses, a variety of golf equipment, DVD players, football memorabilia and champagne.
The auction was a collection of some very fine lots. Some of the top auction lots were a signed Steven Gerrard shirt, signed Wes Brown Manchester United shirt, holiday accommodation in Fuerteventura, theatre tickets, football tickets, overnight stay in a local hotel, a 12 month subscription to a gym and 10 tickets to see the Saracens at Wembley.
Neil Holbrook, who played in the golf day said:

We would also like to say a special thank you to all at The Queens Royal Hussars and Nikki Killick, who made the extra special effort, once again, to travel all the way from Germany to be here with us, Adam would have loved it. We hope you can come again next year.
The third annual Adam Millichip Memorial Golf challenge is going to be on Friday 11th May 2012 and registration for this day will open later this year.
The next event from the Adam Millichip Foundation is the Welsh Bike Challenge on 11/12th June 2011. Chris Aspey and Mark Benbow will cycle together from the northern Welsh town of Holyhead all the way through hilly Wales to the very South of Wales and Barry town. This is then followed up by a guest speaker after dinner event on 8th July 2011 where former prisoner of war John Peters will be joining us to share his story. Further information about these events can be found on our website, facebook, twitter and digg pages.
