"Adam Millichip was tragically killed on 16th November 2007, in Romsey, whilst carrying out his normal daily duties as a heavy goods delivery driver.
His death, not only brought eternal grievance to a loving family, it also brought devastation to the whole of Tenbury Wells.
Although his life was only short, he certainly enjoyed his time. Nothing was more important to Adam than those close to him, none more so than his son Luke.
Adam was a Manchester United season ticket holder and rarely missed the long journey up to Manchester on a match day with our Father Dave and myself, his Brother, Stuart. He loved to ski and skied annually in the French Alps, with his close knit group of friends.
Adam left school in 1998 and joined the Queens Royal Hussars. He was privileged enough to represent Her Majestys Army in many different parts of the world, including Canada and South Africa.
Nearly three years have passed and the plans have now been put into place to celebrate Adams life, with a memorial golf challenge, the proceeds of which will be donated to local charities.
I would ask that all that knew Adam, to come and enjoy the annual Adam Millichip Memorial Golf challenge at Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club. For the budding golf pro out there, enter the golf tournament and for all of those non-golfers, come along and enjoy the days entertainment, which will include a live band playing into the early hours of the morning."
